Advertising

Advertising is a creative profession within the commercial realm. In the Advertising program, you’ll study art direction, copywriting, and account supervision – and you’ll learn both the creative and business side of advertising. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as account manager, copywriter, or assistant art director.

Memorable advertisements are the result of a creative person who blends inventive ideas with the knowledge to bring those ideas to life. The Advertising Design program provides you with knowledge of design, typography, and color theory. You’ll learn to utilize industry-related computer software as you create and design you own advertisements. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as graphic designers and graphic artists.

Audio Production

In the Audio Production program, you’ll study audio recording, live sound reproduction, audio for video, and broadcast production. You will record, mix, and produce audio in analog and digital formats while gaining an understanding of what it takes to succeed in the audio industry. The Commercial Photography program teaches you composition, lighting, and equipment use. Darkroom techniques, color, and design are explored both on location and in a studio. You’ll develop business skills as you fine-tune your eye for detail. You will become familiar with the intricacies of photography for commercial purposes. The Visual Effects & Motion Graphics program helps you to learn how to use your creativity to produce attention-grabbing communication design for film, television, and the Web. Visual effects are responsible for movie trailers, opening film credits, television commercials, animated network identities, and short promos. In the Wines, Spirits & Beverages Management program, you’ll focus on the process of overseeing wines, spirits, and beverages supplies for restaurants, cruise ships, or banquet facilities.
